D&R Design served as general contractor on an extensive rehab and expansion of a historic home in 2018 and 2019. The homeowner requested blending old and new, adding accessibility features and  maintaining the historic character of the house.

The property boasts a new sun room that closely matches the original architecture,  a new master bedroom wing replacing a previous add-on, and an expanded and updated kitchen.

They also constructed a brand new home, finished in fun colors reminiscent of a doll house. The resident's personality shines through on this cheery and whimsical project.

Whether your project is an historic rehab or new construction, D&R can help!

Residential 2018, 2019

This former grocery store received a new life as a multi-use facility, thanks to D&R Design, who acted as general contractor.

A corporate headquarters, retail store, employee gym and a financial services company now share the space formerly filled with canned goods and fresh meat.

This project included custom metal railing and address numbers produced by D&R, in addition to a new awning designed by D&R..

After an extensive gut of the building, all new electric was installed, along with updated plumbing.

D&R has the skills, resources and contractors available to tackle even large commercial projects. Contact them today to discuss your next project.

Commercial, 2019

This project was a unique challenge, as the customer had a very specific idea about the finished product, but struggled to communicate her vision directly. We worked with her throughout the project to design and build the perfect 19th Century carriage house with the country French feel that she desired. She trusted D&R Design to create a versatile indoor/outdoor living space that she would love, and allowed D&R plenty of creative license to achieve her goal.

The planning stages paid off, as she was elated with the final product, and the family uses the space on a regular basis for entertaining guests and grandchildren.

Carriage House, 2016

Every project is different. This house is built on the side of a steep hill overlooking a lake, which presented design and build challenges.

D & R Design used the terrain to their advantage to create a breathtaking elevated patio space for this home.

Custom trusses are a focal point inside and out, with hardware designed and built in-house for a truly one=of-a-kind look. Custom cabinetry was designed and built to satisfy the home owner's vision for each space in the home.

For a finishing touch, D & R Design created bespoke light fixtures, including a large copper light over the front door and sconces on either side of the garage.

Lake House, 2016

This lake property was renovated in two different projects. First a garage space was converted into a man cave, and then the main house was partially remodelled after a flood.

The man cave includes custom cabinetry in the kitchen and bath, custom-built bunk beds, and two 10-foot custom Native American woodcarvings that hold up the main beam.

The main home features hand-carved trusses with custom fasteners for an old-school feel, a rough-hewn wood spiral staircase, and custom cabinetry with hand-made hardware and a hand-carved bear in the basement

Lake House Renovation & Man Cave, 2014

What started as a simple restoration of a historic family home turned out to be so much more — this old house had a few things to say about its renovation, which proved difficult at times.

Major structural issues required foundation repair, waterproofing the basement and upgrading many of the load-bearing members throughout the house. A great deal of time was spent correcting shoddy work by previous owners over the years.

Updates included a new roof, concrete driveway, three HVAC systems, injected foam insulation in the walls, plus all new electrical and plumbing.

All of our builds begin with an artistic view of what the customer wants and is completed with precise design.

Historic Renovation, 2015

D & R Designs have completed numerous projects throughout Oklahoma, each with a distinct design and feel. Here are a few of our favourites.

This large pavilion stands 30 feet proud of the surrounding terrain, sporting custom trusses that increase the beauty of this outdoor space.  D & R Design fabricated the hardware to the specifications of the home owner.

A tired 1970s kitchen received a modern update, with custom touches like hand-built cabinets, wood and copper wine glass storage, a copper tile ceiling, custom carved island and imported floor coverings.
